Peter Mason President, ExtriCARE USA

Peter Mason is President of ExtriCARE USA, an innovative medical device company distributing the ExtriCARE product line nationally to the USA and Canada. With over 10 years of experience in strategic business development and sales, Peter utilizes his skills to expand the ExtriCARE product line to revolutionize and lead the direction of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) worldwide.

Peter grew up in the medical space with a father as an accredited medical doctor (D.O.) and mother as an registered nurse. His professional career started in 2008 upon graduation from Temple University. Peter was introduced to NPWT in 2012 during his time at a medical manufacturer with the role of sales manager and business development.

Peter strongly believes the NPWT market is still in its infancy stage and will have tremendous growth in the coming years. He hopes to continue innovating and producing a cost-effective product line that will shape and transform NPWT, helping wounds heal much more efficiently.

Tony Cheung Director of Operations

Tony Cheung has over eight years of experience in the medical device industry helping clients acquire and distribute pneumatic lymphedema, deep vein thrombosis and negative pressure wound therapy pumps to aid their patients in need. He serves as Director of Operations for ExtriCARE USA and is based in Philadelphia, PA.

Tony is a proud graduate of West Chester University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Upon graduation, he started his career at an international medical device manufacturing company where he assisted in all aspects of company operation.

Tony strives to help get innovative medical devices into the hands of those who need them most.

Gary Schear Vice President of Sales

Gary Schear has over 30 years of industry experience in executive management, and has previously helped the growth of several startup companies. With a robust background in durable medical equipment (DME), home healthcare and medical equipment manufacturing, Gary has a wealth of knowledge within the space. Gary has a special passion for negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) and is well-versed in the entire process from manufacturing of dressings to providing sales and support to the medical community. He also has in-depth experience in the long-term care market and V.A. healthcare system.

Gary was raised in Long Island and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Marketing from C.W. Post. in Brookville, New York.

Gary embraces the motto, “If you love what you do, you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” With a resilient drive, high energy, dedication and an unbounded desire to help transform and innovate the medical industry, he is living his dream serving clients nationwide.

Matthew Cranfill Director of Clinical Services

Matthew Cranfill, RN, BSN, CCRN, ABLS serves as ExtriCARE USA’s Director of Clinical Services. In his role, he oversees the company’s clinical services, focusing on product development and wound care education.

Matthew has over 23 years of clinical experience and a distinguished track record, specializing in advance wound and burn care, critical care nursing, evidence-based research and leadership. Matthew applies his specialties to support and educate the clinicians, patients and durable medical equipment (DME) companies ExtriCARE USA serves.

After receiving his degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing, he began his career as a critical nurse at a Level I trauma facility, progressing from a staff nurse to a key facility leader. Prior to joining ExtriCARE USA, he worked in medical device manufacturing, was the Chief Clinical Officer for a large acute care facility and developed products and design for several large healthcare manufacturers.

Notably, Matthew received the Seven Seals Award by the governor of Indiana and was nominated for Nurse of The Year twice. He has a passion for wound healing and a keen eye for figuring out how to improve patient outcomes and clinician satisfaction. His experience, skillset and leadership will elevate ExtriCARE USA’s clinical program to the next level.

Matthew enjoys traveling the country with his wife Diane and their dogs Leon and Buddy. He is an active member of his community and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. He is also an active member of the state’s medical emergency response team and his church.
